With a flair for creativity fostered from a young age, he honed his craft through years of dedicated practice and a passion for storytelling. Alongside his identical twin brother he co-founded Sculptdouble, a thriving model-making company celebrated for its innovative designs and meticulous attention to detail. Together, they have contributed to a range of critically acclaimed projects, merging traditional techniques with modern technology to create captivating characters and worlds. Josh’s work not only showcases his artistic talent but also reflects a deep-rooted collaboration between him and his brother, making their partnership a unique and dynamic force in the film industry.

Laura and Josh will discuss their journeys in stop motion animation, exploring the projects & experiences which have shaped their varied careers. Laura will reflect on the lengthy five-year production of their latest short film while juggling full time work as an animator, emphasizing the unpredictable nature of creative work and how one project can inform another. Josh will share insights into his puppet-making process and animation on the film. They will give an insight into independent short film making as well as their work on some of the biggest stop motion productions in the UK.
