Malin Erixon is a director, animator and scriptwriter. She has studied at the Institute for Animated film at Konstfack, Sweden. She has also studied graphic design at Forsbergs Designsskola and at Berghs. For several years she worked in advertising, but now she mainly works with her own animated productions and illustrations.
Malin’s films include Benjamin’s Flowers (2012), But You Are a Dog (2014) and Sleep Incidents (2016). Her films have been shown at festivals all over the world, like the Sundance Film Festival, Ottawa Animation Festival and Hiroshima Animation Festival. They have also been shown in other forums like Studion at The Museum of Modern Art in Stockholm. Her work has been nominated several times and won; in 2015 she was nominated for Best short film at Guldbaggegalan in Sweden.
At the moment she is working on two projects: a short film called Edens lustgård (The Garden of Eden) and an animated documentary called Vit Man 40 (White Man, 40). The documentary will be shown as a tv-series for Swedish Television (SVT), a short film, and an augmented reality experience. You can find out more at www.ganzanderes.com.
