Maria Avramova is a Bulgarian-Swedish writer, director and animation filmmaker with over 15 years of experience in the field. She graduated from the University of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm and later completed a character animation course at Animation Workshop in Viborg, Denmark.
Maria has worked in multiple productions as character designer, storyboard artist, animator and director. She has produced several short films and music videos which have recieved a world wide recognition.
2013 she wrote and directed a 28 min film ”Lea and The Forest Pirates”, produced by Snowcloud film and SVT with the support from Moving Sweden.
The short ”Odd is an Egg” which Maria wrote the screenplay for, based on the children´s book by the reknown Norwegian writer Lisa Aisato, recieved the Best Animated Film at Tribeca Film Festival 2017.
She has recently completed the Second Season of the animted TV-show Space Yoghurt, produced by her own company Atem Entertainment. The show is distritubet by SF Kids play and C-more among all.
Now, Maria is working on a number of feature film scripts and Season Three of the TV-series Space Yoghurt.
